Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
